By studying examples from around the world, we will learn what religion is and the function it serves. We will investigate how religions express and support the cultures they are part of. Through a look at the rituals, religious festivals, holy places and symbols of the five major world religions, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism, students gain a deeper understanding of religion.
