What Is An Eating Disorder?
This program explains what an eating disorder is and what the main eating disorders are called? It provides an overview of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and compulsive overeating. In addition students will come to understand what an eating disorder looks like. Symptoms may include thinking about food and dieting all the time, knowing about the amount of energy in every type of food, eating very little, vomiting after meals, a strenuous exercise routine, constantly in pursuit of thinness and more.

What Causes Eating Disorders?
This program explores the individual, family and cultural factors that have been linked to eating disorders. Students will come to understand that eating disorders can be triggered by major events in a person’s life such as a life crisis or the death of a loved person, family changes, school problems or personal failures. Viewers will learn the warning signs of anorexia and bulimia.

I Have An Eating Disorder. Now What?
This program asks and helps to answer several questions: Do you or your friend have an eating disorder? Who can develop an eating disorder? By viewing this program, students will find out about the treatments that are available and learn what they can do to help someone with an eating disorder.
